Obtaining CDN Indian Status

This is a very frequently asked question here on the Turning Point website from people wanting to know about how to obtain a status card in Canada.

The first step is to register as an Indian as defined by the Canadian Indian Act.  Visit the official Canadian Government website for details.

Once registered, you may apply for a Certificate of Indian Status.  Here's the link that will explain how to apply for your Status Card.
